Define: Redemptive
Something is Redemptive when pain, hardship, or death is transformed into overflowing life. Like a seed that must die to create a tree, so there are behaviors and ways of being in us that need to change form in order to unlock thriving. This thriving comes from aligning to what is both seen and unseen in reality.
Seen and external
Impact
The results of our actions on ourselves, others, and the world around us; the fruit of our actions and what we want in our lives.
Actions
What we do and say to co-create the external world that we all share.
Unseen and internal
Feelings
The emotions and bodily manifestations that exist in our internal world; the present moment unique to our experience.
Thoughts
What we think about ourselves, others, and the world around us; our interpretations based on beliefs, the deepest roots of our lives.
Define: Coaching
Coaching is a series of conversations between intentional partners that brings wholistic change through awareness and action.
Intentional Partners: The transformative relationship is between the coach, coachee, and God’s spirit. These change agents shine light and prune roots to create health.
Wholistic Change: Inside-out change is focused on bringing health to the whole person, both seen and unseen. Fruitful results come from wholistic health.
Awareness and Action: The coachee chooses the change but knows that the deeper the change, the less power they have to change themselves. Redemptive coaching is an invitation to encounter God’s change agents, so that the change leads to thriving that is lasting and practical.
